And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. (Genesis 1:29 KJV)
KOE in te reo Māori as a verb means - "to squeak, scream, squawk, cry (of birds and animals)." We have chosen this as the name for our meeting, as we know that other beings have a voice and attempt to communicate with us, but it is only our lack of empathy, love and compassion that keeps us from hearing them.
May all beings know peace!

We are not of this world, but are redeemed out of it. Its ways, its customs, its worships, its weapons, we cannot follow. For we are come into the peaceable kingdom of Christ, where swords are beaten into ploughshares and spears into pruning hooks, and none shall hurt nor destroy. — George Fox, Epistle 203 (1659)
